This won’t be a long post as I have to get back to my wrapping station. One of the many downsides of having only one fully functioning hand is that sellotape becomes almost impossible to tame. It sticks everywhere except where you’re aiming it and specialises in self adhesion, forming great useless snarls of plastic tape, vaguely reminiscent of the fate of many a C90 cassette in the olden days. It took me all afternoon on Wednesday to pack up a fairly straightforward box shaped package to send down to B’s brother in Lichfield and was at one stage, reduced to asking one of the builders to find the end of the damned stuff, which had escaped my grasp for the Nteenth time. Even he had bother. So now it’s back to several more hours of sticky vexation as I wrestle the remainder of the gift pile into submission. I fear that this task will be further hindered by the fact that I am now sorely tempted to indulge in a festive G&T. It can’t help. So I’m wishing happy Christmas to you all and promise a proper update once we reach that boring bit between Boxing Day and New Year. Glad Tidings one and all.
